SAO Overnight RezLife Experience

Published on May 31, 2019

If you are planning on attending Western University’s Summer Academic Orientation (SAO) on Friday, July 5 or Saturday, July 6, you can register to stay over in residence the night before your SAO session.

You'll be provided with a one-night stay in Ontario Hall, one of our hybrid-style residences, two meals in our dining hall (dinner before your overnight stay and breakfast in the morning) and the opportunity to meet other incoming first-year students by engaging in community-based activities and events.

Eligibility and Registration

Eligibility is limited to incoming first-year students studying at Western University’s Main Campus starting in September 2019. To register, complete the online form by June 21, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. for either Group 1 (July 4-5, for SAO Session on July 5) or Group 2 (July 5-6, for SAO Session on July 6) based on your date preference.

Please note that only Arts, Social Science, DAN Management, FIMS, Music, and Science faculties can register for an SAO session on July 5, and Medical Science students can register for July 6. You can attend the SAO Overnight Experience if you are not a part of these faculties and meet the above eligibility requirements, but we strongly recommend registering for your faculty's SAO program by logging in and booking an appointment here. If you are planning on attending an SAO session and the SAO Overnight Experience, you must register for both.

The cost of registration is $55 (plus HST) per student, and students have the option to register up to two parents/guests for $55 (plus HST) each in the same online registration form.
